Most “remove your money blocks” mindset work stays at the surface. This goes into the energy of your whole being and what it actually takes to shift it completely.
This is part one of a three-part series on money and energy. In Part 2, we focus on how to change your energy around money in your daily life. In Part 3 we cover anchoring the change into your body.
Why The Term “Removing Blocks” Misses the Point – And Is Outdated
You have probably seen some version of this before. Some person sitting in their million-dollar home, luxury car in the background, telling you they cracked the code on money blocks and here are the five steps that changed everything. And maybe it resonated, or maybe it did not, because the truth is, you cannot begin to shift your relationship with money while you are staring at a lifestyle that feels that far away. All it does is pull your attention toward the gap, toward what you do not have, and that is the opposite of where this work is meant to go.
Here is what I want to say about the “removing your money blocks” phrase before we go any further: the idea that there is something to remove implies that once it is gone, you are free. Clean slate, open channel, money flows in. Or that you are not perfectly whole as you are. But that is not how this works. The beliefs you carry around money are not foreign objects lodged in your psyche. They are conclusions you drew, very early, about how the world operates and what is available to you in it. You do not remove them. You trace them, you understand them, and you integrate something new alongside them.
This is a different process, one that gives you full autonomy and actually gets to the root.
So if you are here looking for a quick fix, I am probably not your person. If you are here because something has not shifted despite all the work you have already done, keep reading. We are going to talk about the program of money, where your beliefs around it actually came from, and what you can do about it. Fair warning: some of this might be triggering. But we cannot change the paradigm of money without first being willing to see it clearly.
The Money Program: Fear-Based Control Tactics Are Outdated
I have said this before, and I will keep saying it: the program around money is designed to keep us in lack. And I know that is a lot. I know it might be triggering. But stay with me. We are moving into different frameworks of reality. We are evolving, and this is an old ass story that is no longer for any of us.
Think about what the framework around money actually asks of you. It asks you to spend the majority of your waking hours doing something you may not want to do, in exchange for just enough to cover your life, so that one day, somewhere around 65, you can finally do what you actually want. And if you are lucky, you have 20 or 30 years left to do it in. To me, that is not a life. That is endurance with a reward at the end that is not guaranteed.
And this did not start at your first job. It started in childhood. If you grew up in the United States, you were put into a school system at five or six years old and asked to sit still for eight hours a day. You wanted to play, to be creative, to be a kid. And every time you did that, you were corrected, sometimes publicly. Public correction is one of the most effective ways to condition people into compliance. We learned very early that the cost of doing what we actually wanted was too high.
So we learned to endure the disconnect from our souls and our higher sources of energy. And endurance became normal. And normal became the only option we could experience.
The people who raised us were not trying to harm us. They were inside the same program. They had just been in it long enough that it stopped feeling like a program and started feeling like “just the way things are.” That is how it persists. Not because it serves us, but because the fear of stepping outside of it, of losing the income, the stability, the familiar ceiling, feels more dangerous than staying in it. (Don’t even get me started on why we pay for things like drinking water when it literally falls from the sky for free.)
Your body knows something is off. The exhaustion, the resentment, the low-grade anxiety every time money comes up. That is information for your path to freedom.
Here is a simple way to know if you are still operating inside the old paradigm. If you could do anything you wanted every single day, with money completely removed from the equation, what would it be? Is that what you are doing right now? If the answer is no, you are in it. And just so we are clear, hint: we are all in it to some extent. But if you are reading this, then you are one of the visionaries who came here to change it.
We don’t get more money by making money “evil.” The program around money, designed to keep us in fear and compliance, is what I am describing here. Not money itself. Money is just energy, a part of the same holographic universe we all live in, where our thoughts create our realities. So, if you want to change the way money works in your life, you have to change your energy around it. And that means accepting money as something that makes you feel good, and something that you are worthy of, in OVERFLOW.
Where Your Money Story Actually Comes From
Now that we have named the program, let us talk about how that was formed in your psyche.
Here is an example from my own life. When I was young, not even a teenager yet, if I asked for something at the store, my mom would tell me I could have it if I did enough chores to earn the money myself. And she was not wrong for doing that. She was trying to teach me something about work, value, and discipline. But the conclusion I drew as a child was not necessarily that. The conclusion I drew was that things do not just come to me. I have to work hard for everything I want. That I might get it or I might not. That I do not just deserve things simply because I exist.
That one small, ordinary, repeated experience became a belief. And that belief quietly ran my relationship with money for years without me even knowing it was there.
Your version of this story is going to look different than mine. Maybe there was an open conflict about money in your home. Maybe it was never discussed at all, which is its own kind of message. Maybe you felt shame around the free lunch program at school, the clothes you wore, or not being able to go on the trips your friends went on. Maybe money was present, but it came with conditions attached, which taught you that love and money were intertwined in ways that were not always healthy.
Whatever it looked like, you were absorbing all of it. And you were drawing conclusions. And those conclusions became the subconscious beliefs that are quietly running your financial reality right now.
This is not about blame. Your parents are humans who did the best they could. And they were in the same program. But your experience of it was yours, and the story you built around it became yours to carry into adulthood. The work is not about pointing fingers at its origins. It is about getting honest enough to see it clearly so that you can actually do something about it.
The Jealousy Signal And How To Use It To Your Advantage
We all have people we see out in the world who make us a little jealous. Maybe a little resentful. Someone who has the money, the freedom, the life that you want, and instead of feeling inspired, you feel something closer to irritation. You make judgments. You say something under your breath. You find a reason why their success is not real or not earned.
That reaction is not a character flaw. It is the most direct signal you have to the root of your money story.
What is actually happening in that moment is that your potential is being reflected back to you. The friction you feel comes from the part of you that already knows what they have is possible for you. (Your connection to higher energy is always sending you signals.) But your internal belief system is not there yet. It cannot hold the idea that it is also for you. So instead of moving toward it, you project your lack onto that person. You make them the problem, so you do not have to sit with the gap.
When you trace that reaction back, beneath the trigger, you will find a story. And that story almost certainly did not start with you. It started with someone who raised you, or a system you were put into, or a moment in childhood when you drew a conclusion about what was and was not available to people like you. You absorbed it. You built a belief around it. And now it is running your financial reality in the background, disguised as an opinion about someone else’s success.
That is how deep this goes. And that is exactly why catching the jealousy signal matters. It is not about the person you are judging. It is about what that reaction is pointing to within you and the false story you are still carrying.
A Journal Exercise That Gets to the Root
This is where the work becomes practical. And I want to be clear about what practical means here, because it is not a quick fix. This is a layered process. It is not linear. You will uncover something, integrate it, and then, years later, circle back to find there is more underneath. That does not mean you failed or that every effort you have put in up to this point was for nothing. It means you are meeting yourself at a new level of consciousness and excavating more of your own energy. That is the human experience and the process by which we evolve.
Start by going back as far as you can. The earliest memory you have of money being discussed around you. Between adults in your home. Between you and a parent. Between you and your peers. You are not writing a story. You are writing the beliefs that formed as a result of the experiences you are recalling. The conclusions you drew in those moments. Things like: Everything is too expensive. If I want something, I have to work really hard for it, and I might get it or I might not. Things do not just come to me easily. Everything I want is for someone else. I do not deserve to just receive things because I exist.
When you asked for something at the store, what was the response? When adults talked about money, what was the energy in the room? Was it fought over, avoided, or treated like it was always just out of reach? Did you feel shame about not having it?
And it does not stop in childhood. You carry those conclusions into your adult life, and they keep playing out. I was always the friend who could not split the bill at dinner, who could not join the group vacation, who took hand-me-downs because buying new things felt out of reach. Always just at the edge of enough. For years, I thought that was my reality. It was not. It was the same belief I had formed as a child, just wearing a different outfit at a different stage of my life. And once I could see that, I had something to work with.
Your caretakers are not the only ones who shaped this. Your peers shaped it. The school system shaped it. The institution of money itself shaped it, with every message it sends about who gets to have it and who does not. You were absorbing all of it, from every direction.
Journal the phrases. Not the full memory. Just the belief you walked away with. I have to work hard for everything I want. Things do not come easily to me. Money is always a source of stress. People like me do not get to have that. I do not deserve to just receive things simply because I exist.
Those phrases are the program. And most of them are not even yours. They belong to someone else, and you inherited them.
Once you have awareness of the beliefs that don’t align with your desires and your inner knowing of your birthright to abundance, you have a place to work from. You can create new beliefs, and incorporate that into the work you’re already doing. Also, prepare yourself. Because as soon as you start shifting your energy and your frequency, especially around money, you’re going to trigger the people around you. They are going to impose their limiting thoughts and beliefs onto you and tell you why you can’t break free from the program. Because they are doing that thing about jealousy that I noted earlier in this article. And they have their own limiting beliefs. But this isn’t about judgment, this is about taking radical responsibility for your own life in a way that allows you to objectively look at your belief system, and make conscious changes to shift your energy. Stay grounded and don’t be “that guy.” The people around you don’t want to hear you preaching to them about your new revelations, they just want to observe you living an amazing life and be inspired.
When You Are Ready to Go Deeper
The journal exercise is a powerful starting point. It builds awareness, and awareness is where everything begins. But for a lot of people, seeing the belief is not enough to shift it. You can know exactly where it came from and still find yourself repeating the same patterns, because the belief is not just living in your mind. It is living in your body, in your nervous system, in the energetic field you are operating from every single day. It’s an every day practice and as you shift your awareness and your energy, you will be led to the things that will help you on your path. For me, that was learning about neuroscience from Dr. Joe Dispenza, or working with a coach who specialized in going deep into the psyche.
If you want to know what to do with all of it, part two goes into the energy of money in your present life and how to start shifting it from the inside out. Part three goes into the reasons why your body can’t hold change even after you’ve done the mindset work. Part 3 drops on May 10th. If you want to be the first to know when Part 3 is live, subscribe on Substack.
This is why the work I do with clients goes deep, to the root. We look at the energetic lineage patterns in your birth chart. And we use coaching to help you shift and change your life. One of the coaching modalities I use is called Archetypal Family Field, rooted in Jungian psychology. (This modality did not originate with me and is taught by CreativeMind.) It goes directly to the root of the inherited pattern, not the story you have built around it, but what is living underneath it in your lineage, in the field you came from.
What I have witnessed in this work is not just clarity. It is a complete shift in perspective, an integration into a higher level of consciousness where the old belief simply no longer fits. Clients describe it as an aha moment that moves through the entire body. What I can only describe as an actual change in frequency. And that is the distinction I want to make. We are not removing blocks. We are becoming the person who no longer has them. The beliefs still exist, but your level of awareness does not allow them to run the show.
